This Composting Toilet Urine Diverter turns your RV, Tiny Home, Boat, Outhouse, Cabin or favorite getaway bathroom into an affordable composting toilet.

The only Patent-Pending Urine Diverters designed to work with 5 gallon bucket set-ups! Our Urine Diverters provide great flexibility, their unique design allows for maximum clearance for your bucket and solid waste. Other diverter styles impede your bucket, causing: you to dump the solids more often; have your bucket off-center, making your toilet housing enclosure way larger than necessary and compromised; they are bulky to the point your bucket will be far from the seat causing messy problems. Not with ours!

This makes for the most compact compost toilet set-up!

This is for a DIY homemade composting toilet.  Perfect for snap on toilet seats to make a portable compost toilet, or build an enclosure around it for a more permanent setup!

It is a urine diverter, which separates liquids from solids, sending the liquid waste to a milk jug within the bucket (milk jug, bucket not included).

This Diverter hangs on the rim of the bucket and drains directly into a 1 gallon milk jug inside of the bucket, no tubes or hoses needed.  Solids can be collected in a bag, 13 gallon bags work well, which you cuff around the rim of the bucket and under the Diverter, like a bib, keeping the solid waste contained.  There is a bucket Divider and Bobber included.  The Divider keeps the milk jug in place while keeping the solid's bag on its respective side of the bucket.  The Bobber is simply place in the drain of the Diverter and will float when the jug needs emptied or replaced.  This design is for a compact set up and can be used with snap on toilet seats, however, if you use a non-Johnny Compost Toilets' Snap-On Seat, you will have to cut small notches in the rim of your bucket to allow the seat to fit onto the rim of the bucket (see illustration), which you do not have to alter you bucket with one of our seats.  Please message me with any questions!

Made using Industrial Additive (3D) Manufacturing Equipment.

Use Example:
It's for a homemade style of composting toilet to replace the toilet in an rv, tiny house, off-grid homestead, tent/car camping, cabin, outhouse or what have you. In an rv, you can now open both tank gates and keep the cap on and double your grey tank while using no water for the toilet, more time in the woods without having to run to town. We put a 13 gallon bag in a 5 gallon bucket, sprinkle organic matter under and over the "business", we use those giant bags of cedar chips meant for gerbil bedding for the sprinkles (some use coconut husk, sawdust, etc.), and the urine diverter will collect the liquid in a milk jug within the bucket, sharing space with the solids bag. Build a housing around it and install a toilet seat or use with a snap-on seat. The liquid and solid separation takes care of the smell and a ventilation attachment may help, too. It makes everything less stinky and way easier to dispose of. Drain the liquid once every one or two days and the take out the bag once a week with the trash or compost it.

Thank you!
